Bio

My name is Kelsey and I am admittedly obsessed with all things jewellery. I am an internationally recognized award-winning goldsmith, distinguished craftsman and jewellery product development expert, passionate about the making, manufacturing and marketing of luxury and artisanal products – specifically fine jewellery.

People call me a goldsmith, a designer, a production manager, and a creative director. I like to think I’m the technician behind turning unique stories into beautiful products and experiences. I create bespoke jewellery for private clients and help emerging brands get organized to ensure consistency in the look, feel, and experience of their identities. Whatever I'm working on, I aspire to deliver thoughtful, compelling, and engaging experiences, as well as, high-quality, beautiful and creative products.

The best memories of my childhood are of playing “dress up” at my grandmother’s house. My grandmother was a glamorous woman who epitomized the timeless ideals of beauty expressed by Hepburn, Taylor and Monroe – while illustrating the evanescent and continually evolving appreciation of what individual beauty is able to be.

As an adult, I have spent the past decade immersed in the fine jewellery industry: I have travelled globally to acquire in-person training with historical and modern techniques, have been mentored by some of the world’s finest jewellery artists and craftspeople, attended several prestigious jewellery institutes and lived in the some of the most influential centres of the jewellery and gem industries (Mumbai, Bangkok, London, Los Angeles, Florence). I have experience with every aspect of the industry – mining –> making –> marketing –> recycling: I know this business literally “from the ground up.”

Having lived, studied, and worked all over the world, I know first-hand about the importance of being adaptive, innovative, and responsive in competitive markets. I also understand the creative and research processes required to plan, organize and manage product lifecycles, to ensure that revenue, quality, and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Fun facts - I once worked as Park Ranger/Ornithologist Assistant in New Zealand, as a Photo Journalist in Kenya, and was also a competitive hockey player in Canada.

If you share a passion for jewellery (or jewelry) and want to talk shop, please reach out - I’d love to hear from you!
