Originally from El Paso, Texas, Shannon’s love of jewelry began as a child. She collected any and all rocks that had the slightest bit of sparkle. She eventually began beading and making jewelry, which led her to Denton, Texas, where she attended The University of North Texas and pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Metalsmithing and Jewelry as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree with concentrations in Business Management and Economics. After college, she began her jewelry career working in retail sales, and later began to work for Bock Jewelry Company in Dallas, Texas, where she now handles Corporate Account Production. She is currently on her last class in the GIA Distance Education Program to complete her Graduate Gemologist Diploma and has been a part of the WJA for the past 3 years. She hopes to continue to grow in the industry and is thrilled with friendships and opportunities provided by WJA.
