Wow, my jewelry odyssey started with rocks, pebbles, and shells on the beach 'I like little shiny things'... By 2004, in my quest to become an appraiser, I went to Gemological Institute of America, on campus New York, for the Graduate Gemologist designation studying diamonds and color stones and graduating in 2005. I honed my appraisal skills as an apprentice appraiser in New York training with a Senior Master Appraiser in 2006, while studying to be a Registered Master Valuer and received certification remotely in 2007. I am constantly engaged in continuing my education, seminars, conferences, professional organizations, including NAJA the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers meeting and exceeding their membership requirements. In 2019 I was honored as an Accredited Senior Gemologist by the AGA. I work with all types of gems and jewelry from mass produced, to custom, statement, bespoke, and antique pieces. I have specialize in remote work as a traveling jewelry appraiser since 2007.
Prior to appraising full time I have worked in metal smithing, gem faceting, jewelry design and fabrication, sales and quality assurance. Employers and clients in the industry include the bespoke designer Karina Noel, LLC, Tiffany & Co. at their 5th Avenue flagship location, the American color stone faceting firm of Precision Gems & Jewelry, and a myriad of other companies and designers. My clients included individuals, companies, asset lenders and auction houses, attorneys and various government organizations. Contact me if I can help.
